On Song
I was given a book of Poems on 'Birds' by Judith Wright. They are the most beautiful poems about birds.
On reading the poems I felt I wanted to convey similar thoughts and feelings into my paintings. I wanted to show fragility yet underneath substance and strength.
The birds in the paintings are from my environment where most days there is always a 'Song'.
